Just Jack! 35 months!

It's hard to believe that Jack will be three in one short month! Though we have started to notice just how grown up he is becoming. His language is amazing. He is always surprising us with complex sentences and quirky phrases with words we didn't even know he knew. He loves to narrate what he is doing and to make up scenarios for his toys. It's fun seeing him pretend. We also have to be careful what we say, he has a very GOOD memory! At Christmas we gave him a small wood train set and all he wanted to do was play with the train cars on the table. Last week when our neighbor gave us a box of tracks and trains, Jack immediately started building elaborate tracks and circles! He's loves his sister, but is having a bit of trouble sharing my time. But hopefully that will get better soon. Overall he is a really smart, sweet boy who loves his family!

Things Jack Says!

"Jack wants to play with trains myself. And that's my story!"

"S-P-E-L-L, I love to Pell!"

"Grammy, you go back to Reno. Go to Reno and pick up Poppy!"

"I'm calling Dada, to see if he can talk to me. I'm calling Dada on this phone."

"Okay, you go home by yourself. I stay here."

Just Maggie: 3 months!

Maggie's 3rd month was anything but boring. She has become very interactive, cooing and talking, checking out everything around her, and she has smiles for everyone, even ER doctors! She's weighing in at 12 lbs and 11 ozs and is over 23 inches long. She is starting to develop a pattern (no schedule to be found) eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep. This month she decided to party most of the night, waking every 2 to 3 hours. But the last few nights she has been sleeping more, 8 hours last night! Her love of spitting up has let me have fun dressing her in several outfits a day. Watching her big brother Jack has inspired her to be more active, so she rolled over from her front to back. Her hair is still very dark and getting longer every day, while her eyes are turning more and more blue. She truly is a joy and we are loving every minute with her!

Choo Choo!

Our neighbor Larry gave Jack a HUGE box full of railroad tracks and trains! Jack has taken over the guest room and is constantly redesigning his track layout.

Mama's Dress!

Maggie is modeling a dress of mine from when I was itty bitty and she is laying on a blanket made from her Great Aunt Heather. The last picture is a cat pillow and blanket from when I was a baby.
